Red Bull are having a difficult start to the season despite being arguably the fastest car on the grid. But they are struggling tremendously with reliability and consistent performance in the 2022 season. But after Max Verstappen retired again at the Australian Grand Prix, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner mentioned that he would like to develop a fast and reliable car.

His comments sparked a lot of opinions from F1 fans on Twitter. They laugh at the car’s unreliability and falling behind Mercedes in the constructors’ championship after 3 races this season.
Mercedes is literally 2nd in both drivers and manufacturers with a literal bus, but it’s reliable.
I guess he never heard of the tortoise and the hare

Red Bull team boss explains Max Verstappen DNF in Melbourne
Horner mentioned he could understand world champion Max Verstappen’s frustration after another DNF for the season. He revealed that the reason for Max’s retirement may not have been engine related.
But it is difficult to know the real reason for the failure of the world champion’s car before going back to the car and doing an analysis. Christian mentioned that so many retirements at the start of the season are not acceptable for the team.
“It’s completely understandable, his frustration. It was a really disappointing result not to finish the race. We don’t know what the problem is yet – I don’t think it’s really engine related.” said the Red Bull team boss.
“I think it might be a fuel problem, but we need to get the car back. We need to be able to look at exactly what happened. Until we get the car back, we don’t we don’t have the data [or the] Info. [It’s] quite frustrating, said Horner.

Christian hopes they can find the problem by trying to fix it as soon as possible. They can’t afford to slip up anymore, otherwise Mercedes and Ferrari will take a huge lead in the championship.

If they can fix their reliability issues, surely they can win races more consistently. They are currently 10 points behind Mercedes who are struggling to match them at pure pace this season.
Red Bull only have 2 podiums in the first 3 races of the season but they clearly underperformed at the start. Let’s see if they can sort out their issues before Imola and put on a tough challenge there.
