The Zandvoort race looked tedious, with Verstappen crushing everyone on the track, until lap 45. AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda stopped on the track, claiming his car’s tires were not properly fitted. The Japanese returned to the pits on lap 48 to counter the problem.

Despite the stings, Tsunoda coped problems new and parked his car off the track, thus bringing a virtual safety car. Verstappen and Hamilton saw the opportunity and opted for medium tyres. The drama didn’t end there as Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas pitted just before Turn 1 on lap 55.

F1 fans react to consecutive yellow flags with conspiracy theories

Bottas’ pull-up brought another safety car where the Dutchman pitted again on lap 57 for soft tyres. The series of safety cars and pit stops again put the race on its heels where Max Verstappen was just behind Lewis Hamilton, bringing back memories of the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Fans have shared that Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas tried to help his former teammate Lewis Hamilton for the good old days.

Moreover, fans are also of the opinion that Yuki Tsunoda and AlphaTauri helped Red Bull and Max Verstappen against Mercedes as it is Red Bull’s sister team.
