But the unleashed few were booed by more supporters.

And peace was restored after security personnel formed a separation wall.

Fans on social media pointed the finger at the traveling Lions supporters.

One said: “He threw seats and fought with the police, but didn’t see anyone being taken out. Talk about living up to a reputation.”

A Norwich fan posted: ‘Millwall fans let themselves down.

And another posted a clip alongside the words: “Millwall kicks off with the end of the family against Norwich. Hilarious.”

A fan was pictured with his fingers splayed across a steward’s face amid angry jostling.

And a female security member could be seen grimacing as she was caught in the middle of the rush.

A handful of small objects also appeared to have been thrown as the aggressive chanting continued, but most supporters were stunned by the behavior.

The disruptions, however, did not dampen Norwich’s joy at their second impressive victory in four days.

USA frontman Josh Sargent hit a 50th-minute opener and nailed the clincher perfectly.

Millwall boss Gary Rowett felt Sargent hampered Scott Malone in the build-up.

But the Lions were largely outplayed.

And Canaries keeper Tim Krul had little to do other than tip a Millwall long-ranger under Andreas Voglsammer on the bar late.
