Alabama ‘Jeopardy!’ hint for football fans only: do you know?


“Danger!” contestants struggled with the latest Alabama clues provided on the legendary game show, but not this time. Not when Alabama football is a global brand, let alone national. And we think you would also have made a lot of money.

Last month, the trio of contestants couldn’t find an answer related to a Scottsboro attraction, and a few weeks prior, they couldn’t match “Muscle” with “Shoals” in a musical category.

The last clue referring to our state came from the “Southern United States” category during Wednesday’s episode’s opening round of Jeopardy, referencing a certain title town in western United States. ‘Alabama.

‘Jeopardy’ Contestants Puzzled by Another Alabama Clue: Help Them!

Returning champ Ed Coulson of Dana Point, Calif., picked the category that would put us back in the quiz spotlight, as host Ken Jennings read the clue.

The category : Southern United States

The index (for $1,000): To see the Crimson Tide play football at Bryant-Denny Stadium, head to this city.

The right answer : Tuscalosa.

Challenger Brianne Barker of Madison, NJ, gave the correct answer and raised $1,000 en route to unseating Coulson as the new “Jeopardy!” champion.

Pretty easy, huh, Bama fans? Or any Alabamian college football fan or novice? Maybe Brianne from New Jersey loves the Tide.
